This quiet little meadow is
seclueded, from the place where the Asrire have come to call home, by
a small ravine that the path follows, the upper meadow and the Asrire
disappearing from view as you make your way down the path. Once within
the lower meadow, you pause to look around. A narrow creek of crystal-clear
water winds its way through the meadow, sparkling brightly in the sunlight.
The banks slope upwards from the stream at a sharp angle on one side,
while easing down gently along the other. The grass in the meadow is
soft, thick and of a brilliant emerald hue, while flowers of lighter
green, purples, pinks and many other shades sare scattered along the
grass blades to give this meadow a more colorful feel to it. You are
just about ready to depart when a clarion call, a stallion's bugle of
challenge rings through the meadow as a tall heavy-built stallion splashes
through the stream, his hooves spraying crystal droplets all about him
in a showering shimmering arch as he plunges through thew water, leaping
up the bank and cantering towards you.

Slowing to a trot, the unicorn
stallion nips playfully at the air as he approches you. You can see
now that he's heavy-bodied, built more like a Shire horse with a purple
and white-splashed body. His mane and tail are blue, and his twisted
horn is golden and blue.
Sella
Li. The purple-and-white stallion
nods his head solomnly in greeting. I
am Miranath, son of Natheyiv and Morvethes. Once a painted unicorn of
Gavinia, it is here, in this meadow that I have come to make my home.
The
stallion pauses thoughtfully. My name means
'New Dawn' and I was the fourth of the painted unicons to be fostered
out.
He stamps a
hoof with a toss of his mane.
Now there are many painted unicorns; some of them
my brothers and sisters; others, like Yia'Cresla who came here after
me are of the other Charity that lives in Gavinia. And some of the painted
unicorns are my children. The stallion
looks proud as he puffs out his chest. I
am a proud father to many children. And most of them are the daughters
of my lovely mate, Kira'Kapi; they all look just like her, so lovely
and graceful. Liath, our youngest lives here, although she has made
her own home over the knoll over there. He pauses,
to point his pink-tipped muzzle towards a grassy knoll some distance
away. Most of my children are paints, like me,
but my son, Giniet is an appaloosa. And while my beloved Kira'Kapi has
wings, none of our children do. But perhaps that may change in time.
Miranath turns, his tail swishing
softly against his hocks as he regards the form of another unicorn,
standing some distance away across the stream, with some amusement.
While I am certainly a lead stallion to the first
Charity to form outside of Gaviania, Yiv'Cresla enjoys his freedoms
as a bachelor. Miranath grins teasingly in an
equine sort of way. Oh, Yiv'Cresla mooned over my daughters for
a while, but I don't think he's ready to settle down.
He is young,
perhaps time will change him . Miranath snorts.
Well, outlander. Should you visit my Glory, please give her my good
wishes. No doubt she would not want her father fussing over her which
is why she went to live in her own area of this giant meadow called
the Sea of Grass. But give her my greetings. The
purple-and-white stallion stamps a heavy hoof. I do think you should
meet Yia'Cresla as well, he is across the stream, enjoying his meal
of buttercups. I should find a lunch as well.
With that, the unicorn stallion
moves away from you, stopping a few paces beyond the stream and dropping
his head to nibble at some grass. After a moment or two, he charges
forwards, moving past and behind you towards the upper meadow. Across
the stream, you can see a golden unicorn nibbling at some buttercups.
That must be Yiv'Cresla. The trail leads you onwards; slightly off to
the side, towards the grassy knoll that Miranath had pointed out earlier.
But first, you'll want to go visit the other painted unicorn on the
other side of the stream.
