He can mindspeak, and read the minds of those who are not Soul-readers/Mage-readers, or have mindblocks. Both of his wings are mostly normal black feathers, with only the main flight feathers being made of energy. Now the energy that these feathers are made from allow for solid objects to just phase right through them, and if something living is forced through these feathers the creature will be stunned for a few minutes afterwards.
