He can Mage-Read, and if wounded his blood is a glowing black that has an acidic touch to it. His wounds, as long as they are not mortal, will heal within a few seconds. He has the power to teleport at will in a flash of black energy, and has perfect nightvision. As a Doom he can alter things around him - like gravity's force/hold, wind force, the ground/earth around him, negate low-level powers of others, and alter the wounds of others. As an Adult, he can also alter major things like the state of the air around him - poisoning it, making it so anyone near him who has the need to breathe would choke and die in moments, or turn the waters to boiling hot lava. As a Doom Kat, he naturally has a skill for sending a Kat/group to their doom.
He has a black glowing gem embedded in his chest which cannot be harmed/cracked. It's always swirling with energy, and seems to have an unnatural malicious aura about it. All Doom Kats, unless they're of the low-ranking bloodlines, have these gems. It's a natural part of their skeletal frames, attached to their ribcages.
His wings, when not in use, appear as if they're not capable of flight, but when he uses them to fly they stretch and reform to be large enough to support him in the air.
Born in the Void Dimension, he grew up knowing full well how corrupted his Dimension was and how twisted Heiroke's ideals were -- but like all Void Kats, he didn't care. Because growing up in the Void, seeing just how much the Void is really just that -- a Dimension that is in essence a Void, where the leftovers and tainted remains of long-dead worlds end up -- tends to twist one's sense of right/wrong. While not killers like the Demon Dimension were once, Kats of the Void are somewhat lacking in the caring part of things when it comes to life/death.
He was born on the Vorador Continent, a continent in the Void which is located at the heart of the Dimension's gathering cells. It's a massive continent that rims a gaping Dimensional blackhole. It's referred to as the Heart of the Void. All Kats born there tend to lose their fleshy states, instead taking on the look of the Void around them (The Void is made of black/red star energy, from the rocks, to the dirt, to the grass and the sky, it's all the same). It twists the material of the genetic make-up of the individual, but keeps their basic Elements intact.
Those born on Vorador are often treated like royalty in their homeland, as to be touched and altered by the Heart of the Void is seen as a blessing from Heiroke. Doom Kats, when changed, have their skeletal frames visible through the red/black enegy that takes over their flesh, but always keep some whisper of their former looks (in this guy's case, you can see hints of grey/purple markings on his front legs, and the underside of his wings are made up of swirling black/purple star energy). Any offspring he has will probably only have minor areas of their body effected by his Vorador genes.
So, while he has the look of the Void, he is still very much a Doom Kat (like Ameda is, but he doesn't have the flesh and fur that she and her bloodline still does).
When he drifted in to the Inner Dimension it was to find a way to satisfy his desire for fighting. He entered in to Slayer Training, and chose the Flier Class because he liked the solitary aspect of the Class. He was taught by Lunatha, who at first wasn't impressed with his attitude. He tried to stand out on his own fully in the training, and made the offhand comment that he'd probably be able to kill more Shade Warriors than any Guild that may be backing him up. Lunatha, never the type to like those who seem to be in training for glory alone, took pleasure in putting the Doom Kat in his place via a one-on-one battle, saying that "someone whose so sure of their abilities must already be strong enough to stand alone."
He never got a single hit in. Lunatha reduced him to a pile of pain in the matter of minutes, and hissed, "Even as a Flier, you must learn to always respect your Guild mates. For if ever there is a moment when you find yourself trapped, or in over your head, they're going to be the ones getting you out of there."
Since then he never made another cocky comment, and became more serious about his training.
Like all Fliers, he wears bits of silver weaponry that are attached to his wings, sharp blades that are capable of slicing open flesh with hardly any effort at all. His blades are unique in that he has them attached to golden holders that allow for the blades to move and fold, causing more damage as they whirl around. The blades on his tail, especially, are dangerous when used in physical combat due to the way they unfold and cut.
He wears silver armour on his shoulders and hips, paws, and forehead, just plain silver that makes it so Shade Warriors can't damage those areas.
As a Flier Class Slayer he has the power to cast several long-range spells that can be cast while in the air. He also has the power to use "Flier Remedy", which is a Flier Class Specific type of magic that causes the Flier to blend in to their surroundings perfectly while in-flight, and fully heals their wounds/low energy levels when the wind passes through them. It's a power that makes it so a Flier does not require rest while beyond the Border, and keeps them in top form.
He's completed his Flier training so he could join a Guild now if he found one to his liking.
Fliers get to choose their Magic sets from an array of available Spells. They can only master ten at a time, and right now he only knows seven, so he could take on three more in the future.
As a Flier Class Slayer, he also has the natural skill to alter and call upon nature's fury. It's a bit like his power he already has as a Doom Kat, but to a level where he could even change the rocks in an area to silver and make them sharp shiny points that are mostly deadly to a Shade Warrior. He can also alter the behaviour of wildlife, and insects, causing them to either be an aide to him --- using a creature to reveal a Warrior that's trying to ambush his allies -- or hinder an enemy when a retreat is in order --- thousands of insects swarming an area, for instance, would make it rather impossible for a Shade Warrior to dematerialize and reform.
When greeting a fellow Slayer, or an Executioner, he would always introduce himself with the title of "Slayer, Flier Class". He also goes by the nickname "Reaper" but only close friends or Guildmates are allowed to use it. |
