These two have had a tough beginning to their lives which caused them to rely heavily on each other as they grew up. Because of this they have a nearly twin-like bond, with the vague sense of being able to feel the other's emotions/pain but it's no where near the bond true twins would share. The female was born first, and three months later her younger brother was born. They were born in the pride territories bordering The Valleys, areas where Prides have laid claim to the lands that are protected by the Sweepers who patrolled the areas, but are left on their own in anything else.

Nearly two months after the male cub was born, their Father, who was an Executioner, 3rd Class, was called upon to help out a Guild across the Border. He obliged, as he was the type to help whoever needed his help and to never say no. The details aren't specific, but only days later their Father went missing. Their Mother, in near hysterics, had taken the first chance she could to go off and look for him. When she left she told her eldest to look after and take care of her Brother, and that she'd be back as soon as she found their Father. She told them to stay with the Pride.

The female, just now entering in to teenhood, had a good understanding of the way of their world. She had a bit of pessimistic outlook when it came to their Father actually being found, having been of the belief that he had been killed or worse - turned in to a Shade Warrior. She was upset over this, naturally, but her Mother's words drove her to push those feelings aside and to be strong enough to take care of her Brother who at the time was only a few weeks old.

Like their Father, their Mother too went missing.

Devastated by the loss of both parents, but not willing to let go of the promise she made the female continued to raise her Brother. She taught him everything she knew, which admittedly wasn't a whole lot, but she remained with the Pride as her Mother asked and they helped to raise the two now "orphaned" cubs. Because of the way they were raised, the older sister became a sort of guardian over her younger brother - fighting off bullies who might have picked on him, and teaching him the basics of self-defense. He was her only family member left, and she vowed to herself she wouldn't let anything happen to him.

When they reached adulthood they were still close, still nearly inseperable, but now the younger Brother was able to take care of himself, and his sister. Together they look out for eachother now.

The sister wears several pieces of jewellery - a spinning 'tornado-style' earring that literally spins when the wind touches it, and a simple 'spinning wheel' that when the wind isn't active looks like a flower. She wears these decorations in honor of her parentage, because many people said her Father was like a tornado who once set on something couldn't be stopped, and her Mother was like a beauty until the time to fight came. She also wears two bracelets on her left front paw in remembrance of them -- her Father had always worn one thick golden bracelet, while her Mother wore a matching slimmer one. She wears both types as a silent promise to find out one day what happened to them.

Her brother wears minimal pieces of jewellery, two thick earrings in both ears and a golden hair piece that keeps his mane tied back. He always kind of thought that decorations beyond the level of what he wore would make him too "feminine", as only Raveeness should be able to get away with absurd amounts of jewelery, especially when one might want to be a warrior one day. Contrary to what his upbringing might inspire, he isn't depressed or on a kick for vengeance. His sister, and their Birth Pride, did a good job with raising him to believe that everything in life kind of happens as it's meant to. Unfortunately, that might have inspired a somewhat 'laid-back' view on life when he's not engaged in a battle of sorts.

As Weather Kats they are naturally immune to the shifts in weather, and are able to withstand both hot and cold climates fairly well. They can, as well, sense when the weather is about to change and foretell when it's going to rain. Weather Kats of this age are also immune to water-based powers, their coats being immune even to ice. They also have a natural ability to see clearly through fog and mist.
